Dungog Showgrounds, NSW

The showgrounds are well placed, pretty quiet except for the ever-present idiots, and very reasonably priced – CMCA members pay $15 per night (per site) and non-CMCA is $20 per night.

Belmont Pines Riverside Caravan Park, Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle, NSW

This is where we stayed for three days while I paid a visit to the Newcastle Hospital Emergency Centre just for the purpose of getting a referral to their Orthopaedic clinic.  The park is a lovely place to stay for tourists here out on the point, and there are also a few other tourist sites further back off the shore line.  There are also quite a number of permanent sites.  Would be a lovely, if very busy spot in summer.
My appointment for Orthopaedics is scheduled for 2 July, when (if the Gods bless me), I will have the cast taken off.
Fabulous view over Lake Macquarie
Delightful spot on the point
