Taylors Beach Caravan Park, east of Ingham, 14 to 18 November 2012

Taylors Beach is one of those little places that you find quite by accident.  We didn't really want to stay in the 'big smoke' of Ingham, and when we looked at the various searches and web-sites, this one looked the best.  And we were spot on.  The original 2 days quickly stretched to 5.  The owner-managers are doing a very good job with bringing the park up to spec and the degree of customer service is very high.  Taylor's Beach itself is primarily a little fishing village with only a few houses plus the caravan park, but it's well worth the little extra drive from Ingham and we were well entertained by the local wildlife.

Mud Crabs
We have lived in Queensland now for 12 years, and (I'm ashamed to admit), have never eaten a Muddy.  Mostly because they are too expensive to buy.  Today however, a local wandering through the caravan park had a big bucket full and he sold us 3 live ones for $15.  Rick cooked them up in the camp oven, and we snarfed them down for tea. YUUUUUM!!!!!
